Fulton County Libraries
There are an extensive number of libraries in the Fulton area, so many that we can’t cover them all here. So, were going to give you our favorite one and if you have the urge to find more you can find other locations on the Fulton County Libraries Location Directory.
Our favorite is the Fulton County Central Library, located off of Margaret Mitchell Square. One of their prized possessions is their collection of Margaret Mitchell memorabilia. Including the typewriter that she used to type up the popular book “Gone With the Wind” and many other things like photos, her personal collection of books, and many other intriguing artifacts. They also include an impressive Genealogy collection with county histories, immigration records, marriages and deaths, and a whole collections of documents that can still hold their weight to this day. They are always posting their staff picks on books, if you just have the book worm, but can’t find something to satiate the darn thing. We hope you decide to stop by if you’re in the neighborhood. Whether you’re researching for a thesis, need to find histories that might be obsolete by standards today, or even if you just want a good book to sink some time into, the Central Library is our favorite stop.
