Traditional Video Conferencing
Traditional Video Conferencing or Mobile Video Conferencing?
Traditional video conferencing delivers excellent picture and audio quality. However, locations are limited — and require attendees to travel to them. Pricing varies by location and can be particularly high for conferences held after normal business hours.
For most remote testimony, mobile video conferencing (whereby participants are connected from their own offices) is more convenient and cost-effective. Mobile video conferencing offers attendees options that traditional video conferencing cannot — such as chat, screen sharing, and individual user controls.
The most common downside to mobile video conferencing is the lack of technical proficiency or resources among all participants. Another downside to mobile video conferencing is the potential of less-than-optimal audio conditions at one or more sites — which can make it difficult for court reporters and/or jury members to understand certain witnesses’ testimony.
Audio quality is not a problem with traditional video conferencing facilities — which are equipped with stellar technology and acoustics.
Video Conferencing
When cases require you to depose or interview witnesses in other states or countries, a videoconference deposition can be an effective time- and cost-saving alternative.
Our network includes sites with on-hand professionals to facilitate a seamless experience throughout the video conference. We’ll provide you with full, split, or dual screens, along with streaming audio, video and text — and we’ll record the meeting or deposition, for playback when you need it later.
Videoconferencing is also a solid option in a number of other forums, including:
- Meetings attended by multiple offices,
- Training seminars
- Prospective employee interviews.
Mobile Video Conferencing
Mobile video conferencing offers attorneys and their clients a secure, efficient means for bringing witnesses into courtrooms, attending or conducting depositions and interviewing prospective expert witnesses. Moreover, mobile video conferences can be attended by multiple parties, in multiple offices or locations, in real-time.
Setup
Mobile video conference attendees receive emailed links — connecting them within seconds. Moreover, mobile video conferences can be accessed from PCs, tablets, video conference-equipped rooms and smartphones. Attendees can even choose Phone Attendance — for audio-only connections.

Cite’s legal videographers shoot in digital format using professional-grade, high-definition cameras — which simultaneously record video and audio backups onto DVD for redundancy. Moreover, they’re experienced in trial presentation, onsite editing and mobile videoconferencing.

Need Real-Time Interpretation Services?
Cite offers Real-Time Interpretation Services with Exceptional Translators
Text Streaming
Increasingly, litigators are using text streaming, audio/video streaming and instant messaging to gain a competitive edge in the courtroom. We can provide all those services through our network of strategic partners.
Through a secure internet connection, text streaming enables you to receive, offsite, a live translation directly from a court reporter’s stenotype machine. We can also arrange for you to receive local text streaming — through LAN and Wi-Fi networks in the courthouse.
Streaming Depositions and Trial Testimony
We can also arrange for court reporters to stream live text of depositions and trial testimony to remote locations. Our network of real-time court reporters is fully-trained with streaming programs like LiveNote, and is supported by consultants who can offer you technical support on both ends of a feed.
Real-Time Video Streaming
When you or a team member can’t attend a deposition, realtime video streaming is the best solution.
Cite offers the capability to deliver secure, live video feeds of depositions taking place. Used in conjunction with text streaming, live video captures the critical nonverbal communications that aren’t recorded in written transcripts — from body language and voice intonation to facial expressions and gestures.
Advantages of Video Streaming
During breaks, team members who monitor depositions can confer with on-site attorneys and clients — offering additional insights and recommendations for moving forward, once proceedings are back on the record. Insights and recommendations which, in some cases, have literally impacted the outcome.
Setup
To ensure a seamless, trouble-free stream — and to confirm that your system is capable of connecting to the stream — we’ll send you a test video stream a day in advance of your deposition. During the deposition, you’ll see and hear everything recorded while proceedings are on the record.
Please note: Video Streaming is a one-way feed. Two-way connections are classified as Mobile Video Conferences.

Interpretation
Cite’s network of interpreters isn’t just fluent in languages. They understand the nuances of the cultures they’re dealing with — and often bring a solid knowledge of cases’ subject matter. We provide interpreting services worldwide in all languages.
Real-Time Interpretation
Real-Time Interpretation
Real-Time Interpreting is commonly used during conferences and large meetings when multiple languages are being used. Interpreters typically work in soundproofed booths, and receive the appropriate interpretation on dedicated channels through a listening device.
Traditional Translation
Traditional translation is ordinarily used in legal proceedings. The translator sits beside the witness, listening and taking notes or providing realtime translation as the witness progresses through his/her answer.
We can also place the original-language transcriptions in real-time on laptops or tablets — giving translators an extra edge for providing the most accurate translations possible.
Written & Recorded Translation
With our network of language professionals, Cite can translate any kind of non-legal or legal document — including contracts, patents, and financial statements — in addition to court and deposition transcripts. At the same time, we can translate audio and video recordings — providing subtitles in real-time on your videos.
We can even translate your firm’s marketing materials into other languages, ensuring that your message is sensitive to the specific cultures to which you’re marketing.
