If it Matters to You, it Matters to Us.
Our Story
Cite was founded on one simple truth: Whether you're an attorney, paralegal, legal assistant or court reporter, you expect personal, reliable support from your Court Reporting Service — no matter how tough the challenge, or the deadline.
It’s our goal to offer busy litigators and support staffers unmatched professionalism in court reporting, videography, videoconferencing, interpretation and trial support services — anywhere in the world.
At the same time, we’re equally committed to maintaining a family-friendly work environment, where the best court reporting professionals have the technical and personal support they need to succeed. Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned from our decades of combined experience, it’s this: A court reporting service is only as good as its court reporters — and the best court reporters deserve nothing less than the best from us.
We live for the challenge this business brings us every day, we love making the impossible happen, and we’ve invested ourselves in creating a win-win organization — both for our clients and our employees. So how can we make your job easier, your time more productive, and your efforts more successful? We want to know. Because at Cite, if it matters to you, it matters to us.
The Spirit Behind Our Service
Real people, real dedication, and a culture built on trust.
Our Team
Joe Schell
Founder of Cite, LLC
Joe graduated from Hart County High School in North Georgia and was not accepted to the University of Georgia. He took his talents to Carrollton where he attended the University of West Georgia for one quarter before being placed on academic probation. After his second quarter, the school politely asked him to leave.
Joe then became a full-time missionary with the Appalachian Service Project, with whom he coordinated volunteers for housing construction and presented project options to a board for approval. For a year, Joe coordinated weekly volunteers helping hundreds of families improve their housing situation.
From 2001 to 2009, Joe lived in Alabama and perfected his sales skills while becoming obsessed with finance. He then accepted a job with Forge Consulting as a settlement planner. While at Forge, Joe helped protect and preserve Government benefits on large personal injury and wrongful death cases and provided financial advice to clients that needed help ensuring their settlements lasted. He also completed executive courses at University of Notre Dame and University of Texas A&M and earned professional credentials in Settlement Planning and Structured Annuities while becoming a licensed insurance agent in all 50 states.
In addition to his love for service and helping his clients achieve their goals, Joe has always been fascinated with technology. While working in the legal vertical, Joe felt that many of the court reporting and trial support companies were not evolving with the times. Based on this observation, he spent 18 months learning absolutely everything about the industry and eventually opened Cite with his dear friend, Jeff Snider, in 2017.
Less than three years after Cite’s founding, the nation shut down due to COVID-19, and Joe’s technology knowledge set Cite up for success as he began to teach attorneys the best way to handle exhibits in virtual depositions. Within two months of the nation shutting down, Joe was doing webinars for groups of fifty plus attorneys at a time while providing accredited continuing education credits with the Alabama State Bar. Since April of 2020, Joe has spoken about and presented on utilizing technology in depositions, "Cloud storage and exhibits", and "Technology in Trials”. Cite also has a viral YouTube video of him bringing himself coffee.
Joe has become a serial entrepreneur with ownership in three different companies, but his biggest passion is the charity he helped create – Here 2 Give. The charity feeds people in the Montgomery area who are not able to feed themselves and/or their families.
Jessica Hutto
Partner
Jessica grew up in Roswell, GA, and now lives in Grant Park right by Zoo Atlanta — basically sharing a neighborhood with giraffes. She’s happiest in the kitchen, where she treats recipes as polite suggestions and believes hot sauce belongs on every surface except the ceiling. (She does, in fact, carry it in her purse. She’s at peace with this.)
Before her court-reporting era, Jessica worked at Waffle House after college — a plot twist that always delights people almost as much as the fact that she’s a twin with a brother (no, not identical, yet people keep asking as if the answer might suddenly change).
After a long day, you’ll find her with a glass of wine next to Michael, laughing at something silly and letting the world catch up to her pace. One of her all-time favorite memories is seeing Prince’s final concert at the Fox Theatre — an electric moment that left her with one of the last videos of him singing “Purple Rain.” She considers it a lifelong bragging right.
Jessica stepped into the court-reporting world in 2013, learning the ins and outs of the industry while consulting with litigation firms across the country. In 2025, a partnership opportunity with Joe Schell appeared at exactly the right time, and she jumped.
Today she’s part of the Cite team — a group that still surprises her in the best way. She can’t quite believe this is her work life, and she’s not taking a second of it for granted.
Taylor Boysen
Executive Team
Taylor Boysen is based in Nashville and supports Cite's team across the southeast. Taylor currently serves Cite overseeing compliance, operations, resource outreach, growth initiatives, and client experience across multiple states. He’s got his hands in a little bit of everything.
After graduating from Auburn University, he joined a grant consulting start-up. That ended as quickly as it started. Needing a job, he found an opportunity at a local court reporting firm.
He had never heard of court reporting. After learning what it truly takes to become a court reporter—and understanding the responsibility behind creating the permanent legal record—Taylor never looked at the industry the same way again.
Taylor has worked with litigation-support companies both large and small and learned quickly that relationships outweigh hardware, software, and scale every time. The best firms protect relationships with their clients and their resources. Cite always has.
Taylor first met Joe Schell almost a decade ago at a competing firm. Joe introduced himself as he was opening Cite and suggested collaboration. The idea was brushed off. Joe’s reply was something close to, “That’s fine—I’ll just take your business.” It worked out well for Joe. Earlier this year, Taylor joined Cite and hasn’t looked back. It remains the best professional decision Taylor has made.Internally, Taylor is known for caring deeply about the work, the client, and the people behind the work product. Taylor believes Cite is successful because every team member serves the next one.
Outside of Cite, Taylor enjoys traveling and occasionally pretending inbox zero is possible. He drinks coffee like it’s a job requirement and is still waiting on the first truly “slow” day in litigation support.Recently, Taylor graduated from Nashville School of Law with his juris doctorate. In February, he will sit for the bar exam.
Taylor Holland
Director of Video
Taylor has an extensive background in all aspects of video production which made him a great candidate to lead Cite’s growing video department.
He grew up in Cullman, Alabama, but always had a dream of moving to the West Coast. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2011, Taylor moved to Los Angeles to start his career in TV & Film production. He spent five years in L.A. honing his craft as a Director of Photography and Editor working on a variety of projects from commercial marketing videos to feature films. Taylor won a Webby Award in 2017 for his work as a video editor on a web-based video project titled “The People Walker.”
Taylor moved to Birmingham in 2018 to be closer to his family. He continued his work as a Director of Photography and Editor filming projects for companies like ESPN, NBC, FOX, and more until joining Cite in 2021.
Taylor enjoys using his creative video skills to film and edit Day-in-the-Life videos for clients at Cite. He believes it's his way of helping others when they're faced with life altering circumstances.
Traci Schell
Production Team
Traci joined Cite in October 2018 after spending 15 years as a stay-at-home mom. She now supports production and billing, helping keep transcripts and invoices moving smoothly for the attorneys and paralegals she works with every day.
Outside the office, Traci enjoys running, early-morning Orangetheory workouts, and spending time with her daughters and her dog, Kelee. She’s also happiest at the beach—any season, any weather.
Traci loves being part of Cite because of the fast-paced workflow and the wonderful clients and coworkers she gets to work alongside. The team truly feels like family, and there’s always plenty of fun mixed in with the hard work.
Andre Barney
Production Team
Andre has lived in quite a few areas across GA, since moving from New York, graduating from Lithia Springs High School, and attending the University of West Georgia.
Now residing in Villa Rica, he brings over 20 years of the court reporting industry to the Cite team, and enjoys working to collectively accomplish objectives as a team. He enjoys spending time with his family, following sports, and music.
Ashley Hensley
Production Team
Ashley lives in Kings Mountain, NC, where she supports the Cite team with a focus on production and billing. She brings more than a decade of industry experience, having worked in nearly every corner of production with a bit of experience in video and special services, since 2012.
Known internally for her sharp eye for detail and her ability to keep the mood light, Ashley blends precision with plenty of laughter and humor. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and son—whether they’re camping, hiking, fishing, or tending to their family farm in Clover, SC. Their lively crew includes horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and donkeys—oh my!
Ashley enjoys being part of Cite because of its close-knit, home-style feel for both clients and staff. She loves getting to know new people and being part of a team that feels more like family.
Shelly Senegal
Back Office
Based in Newnan, Georgia, Shelly Senegal brings over 30 years of experience in medical administration, including daily interactions with attorneys, to her role at Cite, a company known for its exceptional court reporting and litigation support services. She thrives on precision, organization and seamless client support while collaboration with a team that values professionalism and purpose.
Family is at the heart of everything Shelly does, and she brings that same care and support to her colleagues and clients. She ends the day with her family and her dog Bentley—who fully supports her career as long as treats remain part of the benefits package.
Amanda Potter
Operations Team
Amanda (she/her) lives just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, where she proudly serves as Cite’s resident chaos coordinator. Her job? Supporting the entire team—whether that means building new production processes, recruiting top-notch reporters, fixing an invoice, or solving a problem you didn’t even realize existed yet. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how she likes it.
Amanda started at the very bottom of the industry, scanning exhibits, and worked her way through just about every corner of Production over nearly 14 years. That hands-on journey gives her a rare mix of deep operational knowledge, an eye for every tiny detail, and the ability to see how all the moving parts fit together. Add in a healthy dose of people magic, and you’ve got someone who can keep both workflows and humans running smoothly.
Around Cite, Amanda is known for her meticulous attention to detail, her big-picture thinking, and her uncanny ability to make things—and people—work better together. She genuinely loves what she does, and it shows.
Outside of work, Amanda is fueled by two things: feeding people and loving dogs. She may not love cooking, but she loves making sure no one ever leaves her presence hungry. Back in the office days, this meant showing up daily with enough food to feed multiple coworkers—because hunger is simply not allowed on her watch. At home, she runs with the Potter pack: six dogs ranging from a 12-pound miniature dachshund to a 100-pound Rottweiler. Her family trains working and protection dogs together, alongside her husband of 21 years and their two sons. The Potter pack definitely keeps their house loud, lively, and covered in fur!
What she loves most about Cite is the tight-knit, small-but-mighty culture. Everyone shares the same goal: be the best at what we do, take care of each other, and conquer the court reporting world as a team. Amanda can’t imagine a better group to do it with.
Dalee Cooper
Scheduling Team
Dalee is a proud Eclectic, Alabama native who brings energy, laughter, and a team-first attitude to Cite’s Montgomery office. In her role, she assists with handling and covering every job efficiently.
A graduate of Elmore County High School, Dalee went on to earn her Criminal Justice degree from Troy University in 2024. Before joining Cite, she worked in the legal field as a legislative intern with the Alabama Association for Justice, where she gained valuable insight into the legal process and strengthened her professional foundation.
Known for her high-energy spirit, Dalee still finds ways to shine even outside the office. A fun fact: she was a competitive dancer for 12 years and even minored in dance in college—until an ill-timed knee injury convinced her to retire her performance career (the stage still misses her).
Dalee enjoys the supportive, collaborative team environment that defines Cite, and she considers it a true blessing to be part of the Cite family.
If you ever hear laughter echoing down the hall, there’s a good chance it’s Dalee—keeping spirits high and teamwork strong.
Abby Nowak
Scheduling Team
Abby lives in Montgomery, Alabama, where she supports the Montgomery office and keeps the scheduling department from slipping into beautiful chaos. She’s the one assigning court reporters to depositions, hearings, trials, and anything else that lands on her desk—basically the air-traffic controller of all things scheduling.
Montgomery native and Prattville High grad, Abby skipped the traditional college route and instead spent a decade as a K9 handler in the Army and private contracting. (Yes, she’s used to high-pressure situations—your last-minute scheduling request doesn’t scare her.) After serving as a site supervisor and later working at Forge Consulting, she eventually found her way to Cite.
Around the office, Abby is known for her calm-under-pressure, quick humor, and uncanny ability to untangle scheduling puzzles that make other people quietly back away.
At home, she’s a proud pet mom: Chuky, her retired Belgian Malinois, now lives the luxurious life of a full-time couch ornament, while her cats, Binx and Gizmo, run the household with minimal regard for her authority.
Abby loves Cite’s family-like atmosphere, the fast pace, and the chance to meet and work with so many paralegals, court reporters, and attorneys. There’s always something new to learn—and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meredith Hancock
Scheduling Team
Meet Meredith, though everyone calls her Mere because no one ever uses full names in the South unless you're in trouble. She lives on the edge of Montgomery and supports our Montgomery office with the grace of someone who has fully accepted that scheduling is just organized chaos.
Her life took a plot twist in 2020 when Joe spotted her working in a restaurant and immediately recruited her like she was the No. 1 draft pick. She then started scheduling for his plumbing company in Georgia before being rescued her from a truly crappy job (yes, pun absolutely intended).
Meredith will happily tell you that Cite is the best thing that’s ever happened to her—and we’re not even paying her to say that. Around here, she’s known for solving problems with a smile and somehow staying calm when everyone else’s calendars look like Tetris on hard mode. When she’s not in work mode, she’s with her kids, Emma and Porter, usually juggling snacks, laughs, and at least one unexpected mess. Her favorite thing about Cite? It’s like a family—just one where no one colors on the walls.
Dominic Taylor
Tech Team
Dom is based in Charlotte, originally from Atlanta, and supports Cite’s Video Department. He focuses on virtual videography, exhibit technician work, cloud management, and—most importantly—keeping an ever-vigilant eye on his paystubs.
Before joining Cite, Dom played college football at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and went on to coach Division-I football for five years.
After sampling a few different career paths—basically collecting job experiences like Pokémon—he eventually found his way to Cite thanks to his wife, who was already part of the team and may or may not have recruited him harder than any D-I program.
Dom is known as a true jack-of-all-trades—the guy who can jump into almost anything and somehow make it work. He also proudly (and loudly) claims the title of “best chef on the team”… yes, even better than Jessica, and he’s absolutely willing to schedule a cook-off to prove it.
What Dom enjoys most about being part of Cite is the family feel—an environment where everyone matters, everyone shows up for each other, and everyone tolerates his constant requests for taste-test volunteers.
Kenzie Taylor
Tech Team
Lauryn McKenzie Massengale Taylor, Kenzie is preferred — mostly because it’s shorter, easier, and avoids hearing people panic when they hit name number three.
She was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and supports the team wherever she’s needed. Her focus is mainly on case management, videography, exhibit tech, scheduling, and IT support — basically, if something needs fixing, recording, or wrangling, there’s a good chance she’s already on it, AKA “The Fixer”.
She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and spent two years as a case manager in West Virginia for the Department of Health and Human Resources, where she managed 132 cases simultaneously, attended more than 500 hearings and trials. After transitioning out of social work, she worked as a videographer and exhibit tech before officially finding her home at Cite.
Internally, Kenzie is known for her distinctive laugh, her impressive troubleshooting skills, and her firm refusal to eat seafood — which, as documented in Joe’s salmon picture saga, is apparently a personality flaw.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing video games, cuddling with her dog, Siggy, and attending cookouts — where her husband handles all cooking responsibilities because Kenzie has been known to burn water.
What Kenzie loves most about being part of Cite is the people. Everyone is kind, funny, incredibly supportive, and genuinely willing to help — no matter the task or challenge. It’s rare to work somewhere that feels both meaningful and like family, and I’m grateful every day to be part of it.
Kwameh Lewis Jr.
Video Team
Kwameh is based in Montgomery, AL, and supports the Montgomery office as part of Cite’s videography team.
He focuses on videography and content creation, helping bring ideas and stories to life through creative visuals and high-quality video production.
His passion for videography began during his time as a college athlete, when he decided to document and vlog his senior season to preserve the memories. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a desire to help others express their visions on camera, ultimately leading him to pursue a career in content creation.
Known internally as quiet at first but full of personality, Kwameh brings a calm confidence and strong creative mindset to every project. His background as a college football player taught him to thrive under pressure and approach challenges with the belief that no situation is too big. Coworkers appreciate his creative problem-solving, steady demeanor, and ability to light up a room once he opens up.
Outside of work, Kwameh enjoys football training, working out, playing video games, and building content for his YouTube channel, which has grown to thousands of subscribers and over 50,000 views. He’s an avid college football fan—especially of the Florida Gators—even though his colleagues Joe and Jess proudly cheer for the Georgia Bulldogs (or “Puppies”). He also holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Kinesiology.
Kwameh enjoys being part of Cite because of the supportive team atmosphere, opportunities for growth, creative environment, strong leadership, and the chance to make an impact through his work.
Wesley Sparkman
Videographer
Wes is a remote team member based in Helena, Alabama, serving as a videographer and supporting deliveries at Cite.
Before joining the team, Wes worked as a video editor in news video production, building a strong foundation in visual storytelling. Internally, he’s known as the go-to person for anything involving technology or animation.
Outside of work, Wes enjoys creating animations and finger-plucking on the guitar.
What he values most about Cite is the supportive culture—no matter how challenging things get, the team is always willing to help.
